Syllabus Checklist

what you will change from your current syllabus when you change to teaching online (Lesson 1.3)

GROUP C_ADD/ CHANGE LIST FOR A CURRENT COURSE

It is my wish to add one important thing in my online course that is academic research paper writing after the online course (FOR HIGHER EDUCATION AT LEAST) to check the strengths and weaknesses in  students' performance and later they must be encouraged to publish it  and so the resources for library be available to them on course website. For example

Students’ responsibilities are integral part to make course successful.  Students need to have the required level of motivation and commitment for completing their project work on their own. At the end of their course, they must demonstrate academic integrity and honesty by doing well in test and exams.

Course content and outlines in the form of calendar may be stated clearly to keep students be informed. This outline keep students involved and careful if the weekly schedule of reading and assignments, weekly topics and goals, due dates for the test and projects are mentioned on calendars.

Assignments and Grading Assignment descriptions (due dates, requirements, expectations, criteria for grading, rubrics, points, and percentages; also map each assignment to the course learning outcomes or objectives) should be explicit. Grading scale (show how the percentage earned in course relates to course letter grade) may be clearly stated. Attendance and participation requirements and Course policies (late work, make-up exams, extra credit, and incomplete work) must be mentioned.
